Two sides; same coin: “ No respectable feminine does sex work; sex work is bad feminism.” The Madonna-Whore complex limits bodily autonomy and shifts blame away from the fact that sex work is simply another field that is dominated by cis, white, heterosexual men. Just like all other fields, it needs increase in diversity and equity.
I'm calling my approach *non-ideal sex work* I have two desiderata:
1. Have a set of skills that counter the critic that sex workers are just not skilled enough to do anything else.
2. Post what you want, when you want, never do anything purely for the money. This counters the feminist critic of being a slave to the male gaze.
